Buddhism & Meditation Mentoring

In Buddhist traditions, practitioners rely on teachers and Kalyanamitra (Spiritual Friends) to guide them along the path to awakening. The Buddha himself taught that having wise spiritual companions isn't just helpful—it's the very foundation of genuine spiritual development.

Scott offers mentoring rooted in this ancient tradition, providing collaborative partnership that bridges timeless Buddhist wisdom with the real challenges you face in daily life. Whether you're taking your first steps in meditation or seeking to deepen years of practice, you'll find the guidance and support you need to create lasting transformation.

Who is it for?

Through meditation mentoring, whether one-on-one or in a group setting, you can:

  • Maintain consistent momentum in your practice by discovering fresh sources of inspiration and working through challenges that arise along the way.

  • Find support and guidance that helps bridge the gap between your meditation cushion and daily life, making your practice more integrated and meaningful.

  • Deepen your understanding of Buddhist teachings while strengthening your commitment to walking this transformative path.

  • Develop greater clarity around personal challenges and limiting beliefs through time-tested contemplative practices that foster profound inner transformation.

I’m Scott Tusa,

A Buddhist meditation teacher and practitioner who has spent the last 25 years exploring how to embody and live meaningfully through the Buddhist path.

At age sixteen, my mother's death sparked a deep longing for healing and spiritual wisdom that eventually led me to Tibetan Buddhism. I spent my early twenties seeking out and learning from a variety of Tibetan Buddhist masters, and was ordained by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as a Buddhist monk at age twenty-eight.

I spent the next nine years as a monk, deepening my understanding of the Dharma, engaging in solitary meditation retreats, and continuing my studies with teachers in India, Nepal, and the United States, including my main teachers Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche.

Since 2008, I have been teaching Buddhist meditation in group and one-to-one settings in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and online, bringing Buddhist wisdom to modern meditators, helping them to deepen and develop more confidence in their practice.
